The Bucket List

The Bucket List is about two old men who meet in a hospital.  One of the men is very rich, and he owns a hospital chain.  The other is poor and lives a normal life as a mechanic.  They were both told that they have six months to a year left to live.  So they make a list of all the things that they want to do together before they die. Their list is called The Bucket List because  “kick the bucket,” means to die.  Some of the things they put on the list and actually do were go skydiving, drive a racecar and laugh until they cry.  They also wanted to climb Mt. Everest, but they were told the weather was not okay for climbing.  In the end they both die after completing most of the tasks on the Bucket List.

I recommend that you see this movie because it is funny and very interesting, but sometimes it can be sad.  The saddest part is when the poor man dies before the list was completed.  His ashes were put at the summit of Mt. Everest.  When the rich man dies later his ashes were put together with the poor mans ashes on top of Mt. Everest.  This movie makes you think about what is really important in life and how to share experiences with friends.

Some useful comments about this film Robin. Might have been useful to have written about what it was you learnt from watching this film or what you think the film-makers were trying to get the audience to think about. Good luck with the next one…Mr C
